Research Assistant

Annie completed her undergraduate studies and obtained her B.S. from UT Austin. While there, she was a member of the iGEM team and engineered a modular secretion system that enabled gut bacteria to secrete gliadin-degrading enzymes to help reduce the impact of gluten cross-contamination for people with celiac disease. Outside of research, she enjoys traveling and scuba diving to explore the 70% of the world covered by water.
